I might actually pay money for this because it's already April and I haven't seen any motorsports events in 2020.

I was planning on throwing $10 Cleetus's way.  I love what he's doing with the racetrack and now "Spec Crown Victoria"

FYI the race has been moved up one day.

Does anyone know how he is paying for this and his other adventures?

YouTube money and merch. Most every video has a million hits in less than a week.

He has sponsors too. Holley EFI, Nitto, Texas Speed, and ...another one.

Bought myself a "ticket". He's doing cool stuff and I've got my money's worth of entertainment from him already. I'll bet the original broadcast plans before having to cut down personnel would have been epic

Pay per view event. $10 you get to watch 21 drivers (basically  all automotive YouTubers) on an asphalt oval all driving identical P71 crown vics equipped with a roll cage and a dry nitrous kit. First one to make 100 laps wins. I don't think there's any other rules.

     Robbie, the Freedom 500 is set up by Mr. Cleetus Mcfarland. His YouTube channel has a lot of cool stuff but he loves V8's and burnouts and has somehow bought an asphalt circle track in Fla. The event tonight is a 100 lap race using 20+ Crown-vics equipped with NOS.

Looks like the event was moved up due to an shelter in place order, and the pre-sale must have been closed early.

I just bought in and I'm pumped for some racin' tonight

sounds cool. I'm curious how they are going to do the live coverage. shooting footage and editing it into an interesting video is very different from providing interesting live content.

Who's commentating? Will they have in-car footage? some type of stats/leader board? maybe tracking the nitrous tank remaining pressure?

This sounds like it would be a really fun thing to watch at a party, similar to how people do for big boxing matches and the superbowl.

I’m hoping they run a “watch after the event” showing later, so I can watch on my own schedule.  I hate to admit it, but a 9pm start on a work night is a bit too late for my old self.  And no, I don’t mind paying to do so.

    Robbie, I know they have brought in a production team to help make this happen as for the live tank pressure that would be very cool but with things being scaled back I doubt that would happen.

If this man isn't living the dream then I don't know what else there is to live for.

FAQ's say you can still watch it PPV anytime after the live event.

I'm in. Hoping to go to a Cleetus & Cars at some point but this will do for now.

There was an early bird discount up to the day of the event.

If half the viewers of a poorly watched video each ponied up $10.00 he would be up around $2,500,000.....I guess that would buy some nitrous.
