New issue just started the other day. Upon a cold start, say below 40, my low oil pressure warning light will flicker on and off till the oil is up to temp. I'm using the proper oil weight, 5W-30, keeping it topped up, and it only had 2k miles since I changed it.

On a whim, I decided to see if an early oil change, along with a sea foam treatment would help. It didn't.

What should I look for? Just give it an extra 5-10 minutes of warm up? I'm about to just see what the shop can do with it.

I was thinking something like that, but dropping the pan is not a driveway job for me. Atleast with Haynes saying undo transmission/engine mounts, remove parts of the A/C...

My first thought is since it just started, it's probably an electrical or sensor issue. I hate warning lights. They're a 1/2 a step above useless. Putting an actual mechanical pressure guage on the engine will give you a much better, more accurate idea of what's going on. If the sensor is set to kick the light on below 10 psi, it doesn't help at all if you're rolling down the highway with only 15 lbs of oil pressure.

The threshold for most oil pressure idiot lights is ridiculously low, so your engine likely would have blown up by now if that was the case. To be safe, checking oil pressure with a mechanical gauge should be fairly simple.
