Here’s a content delivery suggestion / request.

Like many people one of my favorite things in the magazine is the project cars. There are many I’ve read time and time again, especially Andy’s STS2 Miata and both the Volvo 122 here and the Volvo 142 that started on GRM and migrated over to CMS. The STS2 Miata one I’ve read so many times I’ve copied every post in order and resized the pictures to form a single 6meg 122 page word document that I can read at leisure or print out as a book for beach reading. I like the combined blog posts better than the magazine articles years later as a) they are more comprehensive and b) I can read them in one place rather than digging through my old piles of GRM’s in the basement. This week after seeing the Top Gear Saab eulogy I hit up Saabrally.com and watching the SAAB 900 turbo wheeler-dealers episode on you tube I headed over to the project section to read the baby poo brown 99 rally car build. I planned to turn that into a single readable document. I’ve found an issue with many of the older posts that is common, the pictures have in many cases disappeared altogether, or on many of the ones that are there, the link to the larder version is broken.

Is there any chance that the magazine could create a simpler to read single file for completed projects, either as a web page or a down loadable PDF? Alternatively could you make a firm back or paper back mini magazine/book of your top 10 or 20 completed builds and either sell it separately or make it a re-subscription special offer or something? Magazines like EVO do that every year or so with their best photo’s or road tests etc, it could be another revenue stream for you. I’d be happy if there was a 2-3 year delay from completion so as not to rob magazine sales.

Any chance?

Yeah, I asked for GRM books a few months ago. Here's hoping!
