And we need some guinea pigs.
We're putting the final touches on a new community interface for forum members on both grassrootsmotorsports.com and classicmotorsports.net.
We'd like a group of about 5-10 people to experience it first and give us some feedback starting tomorrow morning, November 12, at 7 am, before it is launched site-wide. Don't worry, if you volunteer, it should not hamper your ability to use the site.
So, who'd like to try it and help us improve it?
I won't get into the office until 8:30 or so, prior to that I'm browsing on mobile, if that's not too late I'm in.

Me, this, yeah! I can arrange to be up a little early and on around 7:30 if that's better.
I will if you want. I am here way to much as it is. LOL Do you need us on at 7:30? IF so that oculd be an issue for me. I am usually on around lunch and in the evening. Especially with my activity with the GT6 sim stuff.
No need to get up early. It just goes live at 7 am—sorry, I worded that pretty badly in the first post. There will be ample time to browse and give feedback.
Alright, with moderators, that makes 12 so I'm going to go ahead and finalize the list. Thanks for jumping on this, guys.
So tomorrow when you get on, you will have to sign out and sign back in for the change to take place. When you do, you should see a pop-up that will walk you through the new features. It'll be a good while—I'm guessing at least a couple days—before it goes live site-wide, so don't feel like you have to rush through it all. Just use it and let us know via email what you like and don't like.
For feedback, comments and/or complaints, shoot me an email at edward@grassrootsmotorsports.com.

hopefully one of these times they will change the way the software formats the posts so that hitting "enter" will start a new paragraph and not just get strung onto the previous sentence.. also, maybe they can make hyperlinks open in a new window- that would be a fun experiment..
I'd love it if when you finish reading a thread and go back to the first page, it didn't go all the way back to the top so you could continue reading where you left off.
um, the ressurection of ALL of the project updates to the front page- I bet that was not exactly intended....

Logged out and logged in again, as requested, and didn't see any popup. Safari 6.16 on Mac OS 10.7.5. I do see that the online article comments are showing up as 1-post threads on the forum, but that's all I've noticed so far.
Bumping this back up due to all the new posts.
I have been using my windows based phone today. Logged in this morning no popup. I am however seeing new stuff.
the biggest thing so far is in the 818 thread that has the embedded video. The dimensions of the box are fixed so it makes things get all scrambled when the site tries to auto size to work on a mobile device.
I will log on tonight on my PC and make a more comprehensive list of things but for the most part they are all minor. On the plus side things seem to be loading much faster.

As for starting a new paragraph, you have to hit enter twice. It's gotten me a couple times, too. So I know what you are saying.
And you can set it so that it opens hyperlinks in new windows in your personal preferences. Just hit Profile>edit my profile>and check the box near the bottom of the page that says: "Open board links in a new window?"
In reply to Duke:
For everyone who should have access to the new features: Try hitting Profile and then there is a button that says "Dashboard" just under the main menu bar. Hit that.
You'll need to log in to post.
