I'm in Arizona.
Here, you can buy a salvage vehicle, take it to a DMV inspection center and get a rebuilt-salvage title fairly easy. I'm not even entirely sure I need to get a rebuilt title in order to drive something on the street.
I'm looking at some types of cars for which are unique, and I'm not too concerned about their outward appearance. Think, RallyX or Lemons cars.
One thing that I do know is that some states have requirements about who can buy salvage vehicles, and CoPart sometimes requires that you get a broker, or registered as a business.
How can I find out what my requirements are in terms of whether I'd need a broker or to be a licensed dealer in order to buy via CoPart auction?
The copart auction site should tell you if the vehicle is available to The Public or Dealer Only. The IAA site does this. No personal experience with Copart
In Ohio, IAA sells to The Public but not every car.
Insurance company totals can be sold to The Public.
Dealer trade ins can only be sold to other dealers.
In AZ it seems that Yes,, Copart will sell you a salvage car as a Private Individual (without a broker)

Anyone use https://autoauctions.io/ ?
Seems like $40 would be worth it to determine if I'm going to have any luck scoring a better deal vs Facebook and Craigslist.
