New poster here. Thanks to the heads up in this forum on Copart I found an unmolested '95 Integra for sale. No apparent damage. I don't know what it went for but before the auction the only bid was a few hundred dollars.

My question is why was the car on Copart? This could have sold for a lot of money on a dealer lot. By searching through manual transmission only cars I noticed some others that appeared to be in decent or undamaged condition. Are these being put on Copart because dealers don't want to try to sell manual cars?

Smoking deal sir. Lots of older ish just gets sent off to auction vs the Stealerships dealing with stuff outside their wheelhouse.
No, It was placed there by State Farm. You can see that under the seller info.
Tough to say but a 225K integra with quarter panel damage isn't going to get fixed. You can see the wave in the drivers side quarter that looks like it buckled slightly. Not huge damage but a car with a stated retail value of $3122 will not get fixed.
I didn't notice the quarter panel dent. If I was signed up with Copart that would have been mine. I am going to sign up but I doubt I will see anything like that Integra again.

Careful, having a Copart login leads to harder drugs. This place is the gateway through which we get started...
I've been tempted by the siren call of Copart in the past, I remember this thread having some good info. https://grassrootsmotorsports.com/forum/grm/copart-tips-tricks-stories/198800/page1/

True.
Here I am dragging home an auction purchase with an auction purchase. The struggle is real !
In reply to scoope21 :
Because it got totaled out by insurance, and no dealership is interested in salvage titled car from a wreck.

Yeah, my count is two in one year. I'll probably let my membership expire so I stop.

The first step in recovery is admitting you have a problem...
My Co-part find...$600. Woulda been less except there was one other bidder driving up the price.
88 CRX HF...good interior...broken driver's window, dents in fender and driver's door. Buffed out the door, replaced the fender and window. Original HF drivetrain ran fine and I sold it for $400 when I K-swapped it and built this...

I'm not prepared to do that
And some related Copart reading from the back catalog: How to turn a totaled car into your next ride.
It’s written by Norman Garrett, one of the engineers on the original Miata. He also has a thing for rescuring broken cars. Good stuff.

Oh hey, that's what I'm trying to do right now. Just the paperwork side of it though.
