I'm trying to see if a particular car seat will work in the rear center position of a roadmaster wagon (I imagine all b-bodys are about the same). This car seat has a "load leg" that hangs down and presses against the floor.

I just need to know how far is it between the top of the driveshaft tunnel to the top of the seat cushion. If someone could help me out that would be great! thanks

96 Impala SS I get about 8" from the driveshaft tunnel to the top surface of the back seat. That is from the top of the carpet to the top of the seating surface.

I'm now intrigued by this car seat, never heard of one with a load leg hanging down like that.
