Why the straw man? I don't see anyone in here saying the Mk4 wasn't heavy. The Mk3 was 600lbs heavier than the Mk2 though, sure seemed hefty to me when I drove one...
(also the Mk4 is actually 200-400lbs *lighter* depending on trim, both are still very cool cars, but let's not pretend either is lightweight)
