So my RX7 idea from three weeks ago has kinda taken a dump, so my latest one is about the 210. More specifically, what car swap into a 210.

Can anything from a 180, 200, or 240SX swap into the 210 with relative ease? I'm thinking the diff, brakes, or engine?

Are there any other junkyard swaps that work with it?

No idea how easy it would be, but the VG and VQ nissans me likey.

Oh and if you have a 5 speed from that car you need to get rid of and it has a big 60 on the side, let me know.

I think you can get an SR20 or CA18 into those with relative ease.

They have a solid axle, you can't use the 240SX-style IRS parts.

A CA18DE(T), SR20DE(T), or KA24DE will fit basically firewall-to-radiator. Remember the B210 and B310 "210" were set up for the A-series engine which was a copy of the old Austin motor. Mounts and so on will be custom.

Back in the day the "A" engines actually had a healthy aftermarket and were raced extensively in GT5 cars based on the 1200 and B210 bodies.

I loved my B110. It was light, tossable and made great noises. Did I mention it was almost indestructable? It was the model for the statement I'd rather drive a slow car fast than a fast car slow.

I have a side-draft manifold for the F10 A-14 that's languishing in my barn, if you wanted both a deal could easily be struck.

Unless I find an F10 wagon for sale. Really want another one of those.....

Is it wrong that I too like F10's?

My younger brother had a B110, not fast but definitely fun. Nowhere near as nice as this one.

If he could not kill it, it can't be done. It was parked outside one night with no antifreeze, he started it up and of course this burned the belt off. He drove it to work (~7 miles) worked all day, bought a belt, then drove it 7 miles home and we put it on that night. He broke down and bought antifreeze as well. No, he has no mechanical sympathy. He sold that car a year later, it was still running fine.

I also had an A12 (B110 engine) in a 1970 Spitfire. It made more horsepuppies than the stock Triumph lump and was lighter so it was actually pretty quick. I DD'd that car for 4 years, reliable as a rock.

I had a B210. I loved that car but it turned to earth while I was driving it. Great fun to drive but every crx hf passed me.

Put a transverse FWD setup in the backseat - seriously. Now that'll get you noticed.

I had about a half dozen Datsun 1200s. Great cars... great, great cars. Planned to put a engine in the back but never got round to it, but later built Kimini.

That's something I've had a hankering to do for awhile, but likely go with a larger engine. Too bad the US 1500 didn't get the good head.

I came very close to buying a B210 new back in '77 ('78 m/y, fresh off the hauler). Had just totaled a Fiat, had an insurance check in my pocket, so I was looking for something new I could just buy outright.. I liked the car, had heard good things about it, but the salesman was such a Bob Costas that I went across the street and bought a Corolla 1200 instead.

Everything turned out fine; the Toyota turned out to be nearly indestructable, even if it was weak in the power department (3KC). I still wonder how it would have turned out with the 210..

My memory is hazy but IIRC the A14 is a drop in swap for an A12 or A13. IIRC the A15 had a different flywheel or something so it wasn't a direct swap.
