The first law of Harborfreightdynamics, also known as Law of Conservation of Hammers, states that Hammers can neither be created nor destroyed; Hammers can only be transferred or changed from one form to another.

Having recently discovered that both of my dead blow hammers are nearing uselessness, I searched for this thread. I just ordered 2 of the Trusty-Cook hammers from their outlet, and found a discount code that made them buy one get one free. Not sure what I'm going to do with 4 hammers, but under $50 shipped for 4 US made high quality tools felt pretty good.

The code is blemx2, if anyone else is interested.

I'm replacing my Snap On ones  because after 35-40 years they are breaking up and it's been years since the Snap On guy has come out to this part of town.

Do you have a link from where you ordered or was it just the Trusty Cook website.

Northern Tool here for me...and was wondering can one use this with a fender dolly to remove dents? Or do I need and go spend more$$$$ for the proper metal shaping hammers?  And this exercise will performed on a way less than concourse vehicle(03duramaxxdriverdoor)

How nice do you want your work?  Body hammers in conjunction with a dolly properly used can repair or modify bodies to a fantastic degree.
Dead blow hammers move metal to a rough shape but not suitable for finish work.  Might as well use a sledge hammer.

I dont know if anyone picked up on my sarcasm last time.  I did recently use a dead blow hammer for something: To hammer a cam bearing into a block using pieces from my ball joint press. In other words, hitting things with a hammer that don't like to get hit with hammers. A deadblow hammer is perfect for that since it's basically just like taking a regular hammer and being a sissy with it. I can understand soft-face hammers. That's generally what i end up using my dead blow hammers as. The actual dead blow functionality seems rather pointless to me after 20 years of hitting things.
