A couple weeks ago, I bought a Momo Monte Carlo wheel from another forum member. (thanx, Ditchdigger!!!)
Always loved those wheels, after having one in an aw11 years ago.
I also have a newer-model Momo, which I got a good deal on last year. A bit "ricy" looking compared to the classic looks of the Monte, but I actually prefer the feel of the newer one.
Granted, until the Hairball actually starts and can be driven in anger, the "feel" part is kinda irrelevant. What I think feels good just sitting in the car making engine-noises may not feel good when actually driving the car.
So which would the Hive prefer? Classic Monte Carlo...
Or something a bit more "Bling-tastic"...
Classic x2: But hell, it's your car and who cares what it looks like as long as it feels right when driven in anger.
But with the new one, when I run out of talent exiting a high-speed sweeper, I could look at the wheel, and see the word "OWOW"...

Yeah, already have you, JRW, and Chandler notated in my mental vote-tabulator thingie.
New one, then sell me the classic for teh cheap
Function > Form. Nobody but you has to look at the "ricey" one, if it's better to drive with it's the one to go with.
Mat black engin paint on the newer one would solve most if the bling issue.
My V8 Miata has a "ricey" momo. Two other Prototipo wheels in other cars. Love the Prototipo! Traditional look and feels great.

Actually, that's not a bad idea... I have a couple other bits that I was going to Plati-Dip black, so I may go that route.

I was going to suggest the same thing and forgot as I was posting.
Also, swapping that "CF" hub cover out for something more traditional might make a big difference in the look.
I love the prototipo! I am going to put one in my saab.
The monte never did anything for me.
