While out shuffling cars with JG, I passed a flatbed going the other way. And on its bed, looked like a 6x6 Amphicat and a tracked Playcat.
Sorry, no pics as I was driving.
Semi-relevant video just because.

This show was spawned by people
who took lots of drugs for sure
When we were kids the local fair in Kailua (Oahu not the big island one) gave rides in those. They'd slide then around and then plunge through a big mud hole; that fact that they didn't get stuck in red clay impressed us mightily.

When I was a new college freshman all alone in a sea of 1500 other new college freshmen, my first pass cut for identifying potential friends was how much of the Banana Splits theme they could sing.
In reply to AngryCorvair (Forum Supporter) :
No, pretty much anybody who was willing to give it a shot made the cut. But weeding out people who didn't even know who they were, or who didn't immediately smile and start singing, helped me identify the thicknecks and tools.
I brought a 1970 Easy Rider back from Michigan last summer. Basically the same thing as the Playcat. It's next on the hit list now that the boat is mostly done.
The Build Thread is here when I get to it.
I believe the guy calling that race in the Banana Splits video is Allan Melvin, the boyfriend of Alice on the Brady bunch, and Archie's coworker on All in the family.
One of the singers in the Banana split's band, Rick Lancelotti, was also on a few Zappa albums, and did quite a few of the vocals on Overnight Sensation, including Zomby Woof, with Tina Turner on backing vocals
Useless information that I find interesting.
In reply to David S. Wallens :
I'm thought it was NBC; I looked it up and it is indeed NBC.
We got cool stuff in Hawaii like Rainbow Man and Kikaida Rider.
