Looking for some articles on how to make an rpm activated switch! I've got a toyota 5e-fhe motor with an ACIS intake, similar to TVIS, VICS, etc, it's got a dual runner setup, with long and short runners.. but I need a rpm switch to activate a vacuum solenoid. I'm bidding on a Apexi VAFC and a greddy blue emanage, since they both have this feature, but looking at learning how to build on of these switches also.
pic for the crowd.. ACIS on left..

If you're looking for a cheaper alternative maybe consider a Summit RPM switch? I did some quick googling and it looks to be under 60 bucks shipped. Some of the maxima guys use it on their dual runner setups.
Yeah i saw those too.
Leaning towards the piggy back only so i can trim in a bit more fuel too.
wow i was going to say Dynatec shift minder but looked at prices Holy Crap there not cheap anymore...
Maybe swapmeet or fle bay
If you want to make it yourself... google DIY shift light and then use the signal at whatever RPM you like to drive a solid state relay.
We just used one to "fix" TVIS on an SW20 MR2 Turbo. Under $50 from Summit.
Here's how I got mine working after the engine swap on the ole' Volvo, I had to get the Volvo Variable Induction System to work on a car that was never equipped with such. I looked hard at all the DIY options, but for <$45 you can get a Summit RPM switch and forget about it.
