The A3 will be the 'Sportback'...looks a lot like the current 4 door hatch styling. "Not a wagon...not a crossover..."
We will only get the A4 Allroad in 2015...not the Avant that Europe gets.

I am a wagonhead who is currently shopping for one. In my mind wagons have sedan variants and you cannot have one without the other.
Here is what I find available brand new:
Mercedes E-class, BMW 3 series, Audi Allroad, VW Jetta Sportwagon, Volvo V60, Volvo XC70, Caddy CTS
The TSX is a MY2014 semi-luxury brand car that does not offer key-free entry and pushbutton start. Really ?! Plus I am not driving 200 miles to go buy one.
The real kick in the nuts is that BMW, Audi, and Volvo all offer cute-UVs sized similar to their wagons that are less expensive. Having driven all of the wagons (apart from the Merc.), if I wasn't dear to my cash, I'd have an Allroad.

always curious why push-button start is such a big deal these days... I have a crappy old British sportscar from the early 1970s with a push-button starter. Never understood why manufacturers always feature it in ads and stuff as something that is new or special. Can't say I've ever put my key into the ignition of any of my other cars and thought to myself "damn, I wish I didn't have to put this key in the ignition"
Also, I've borrowed my buddy's TSX wagon and I'm quite certain it had keyless entry. Doesn't everything from the last decade or so?
In reply to irish44j:
Key-free is never having to remove the key from your pocket/bag/whatever. It's like HDHDOK'ing without having to wipe your BLANK.

Sheesh, kids these days
Saw a Focus Wagon prototype yesterday. Not a 5 door, and not with any camo on it. Not sure if it's for the US or not.

Hope isn't a bad thing. I really have no idea if it's for here or for some other reason.
Not sure if it falls into the small realm but you could get a Focus Wagon up until 2007 and with a stick shift. I almost bought one but it got shot down by Mrs. DX.
Here is the Escort in question. 1994
A 5-door hatch or a crossover in the style of Nissan's Rogue does not equal a wagon. In my music-gear-toting experience a swoopy rear end ruins usefulness by about 50%.

IDK, never thought as removing the key from my pocket as being difficult or a hassle worthy of needing a system to eliminate it. Then again, I'm the kind of person who still holds a cell phone to my ear instead of using bluetooth, so what do I know.
Whew . . . !
I was afraid that it might be an '84 and I'd have to hate you for owning such a sweet ride.

This... SWMO loves hers and it is amazing what that interior can swallow. I think it's bigger on the inside than the outside.

Unfortunately, it would probably be just you, me and a dozen or so others...

I'm in, too. I love it! I'd even settle for some sort of non ST base model.

I can say with the utmost confidence that if this were available in the US next summer that I would have one. Absolutely no doubt. I have said the same about the Mazda6 Wagon that looks Sexy as Hell that we don't get as well.
Viva la Longroof Revolucion!
The Jeep Patriot looks something like a wagon.
The other one that looks something like the old Cherokee might fit.
Just a random thought.
look for a used ultra rare lancer ralliart sportback, I bet a dealership or 2 still have handful left unsold new units available
