On my way to work this morning I noticed light and heavy braking was pulling to the left. Once I got to work I noticed there was a lot of heat coming from my right front wheel. Could this be due to a broken/seized caliper? I just replaced the rotors and pads a month and a half ago and everything was working perfect until today.
Or you have a seized pin or slide.
Sounds like a sticking caliper. This can happen after a pad change. When you pushed the piston back in the caliper, there was some crud in there that got in next to the piston and is keeping it from retracting and thus dragging the brakes on that side. Also check the brake hoses as well. My truck did the same thing and still did it after replacing the calipers. Ended up a hose was restricting the one side.
From easiest to most difficult (organized repeat of what's already been said).

Pins/sliders gummed up, corroded, etc.. Check, clean, lube, reinstall.

Brake hose deterioration. A mother to diagnose. Sometimes, as the rubber lines age, the inside of the hose can degrade and little "flaps" may form. Sometimes they form in such a way as to create a check valve effect which won't let the pistons retract after you've hit the brakes.

Caliper piston stuck/hanging up. Either replace the caliper or buy a rebuild kit. For reference, one caliper kit for my Scirocco was $3.00. All it is is a square cut O-ring and a dust boot. Any autoparts store should have a brake hone for cleaning up the piston bore.

Crack the bleeder. If it is a missile, the hose is junk. If it is a trickle or just a quick squirt and to a dribble, it is something else.
thanks I will have to do some checking tonight.
