The one in my car, the "gear plate" or whatever you would call it, is coming off. I'd like to just put a new, OEM 6-spd shift knob back on the car.
But I'm having zero luck finding one. The only OEM ones I'm finding are used.
Where has my Google Fu failed to direct me?
The Mazda motorsports catalog lists a lot of different part numbers for it, here is one of them.

Thanks for finding that!
I may have to suck it up with an aftermarket one. I don't think I can bring myself to pay $200+ for a shift knob.
Find an RX-8 shift knob? They fit.

They appear to be even more expensive, by almost $100 than the OEM NC "change level knob."
I would have never guessed they would be so freaking expensive.

$200+ for a shift knob? Who does Mazda think they are, BMW?

Just buy an aftermarket one. Gotta be $20 on eBay.
In reply to 02Pilot :
BMW shift knobs are like $90...still expensive but it makes the Mazda price seem downright silly

I'm not a fan of the way any of them look.
But I may have no choice but to out something in the car I don't like, or make my wallet lighter for it.

my shift knob of choice is the FLYIN' MIATA WEIGHTED DELRIN SHIFT KNOB. I like the way it feels
In reply to z31maniac :
What, you're not a fan of "neo-chrome" bling? How about glow in the dark?
I have the FM delrin one in my NB. I like it. It's a good shift knob that doesn't get too hot.

Try pricing out Porsche knobs.

I have to say it, but no offense meant to anyone...
Only Porsche knobs buy Porsche knobs..

Thanks, for the FM suggestion. That's a decent looking aftermarket shift knob. I'll probably do that for the time being.
