I love the humiliation, would love to have seen them through the drive through. berkeleyin' a.

Yup. Has nothing to do with torque or power.

beg to disagree, but it does included grip and weight along with torque

I'm anti giant wheels and (presumably) shoddy lift kits.
I'm anti loud, obnoxious fat chicks.
I'm anti them doing this in a parking lot.
However, I am very, very pro humiliating defeats.

Once grip reaches a certain level... yes, torque or power become a factor.
This thing has WAY less torque than either of those trucks... yet it would most likely win a tug of war without breaking a sweat.

that Ford is what a real truck looks like, and does what a real truck does.
it aint pretty.
it aint comfortable.
but it does truck stuff really well.
it also helped that the guy in the other truck had no idea what "not full throttle if there isn't any traction" means..

That race was lost by the driver of that GTR.... but still 12 sec truck is badass.

not too bad.. some of those trucks can haul..
back when i used to go to the friday night "fast and furious" grudge racing nights at a 1/8 mile track, there was always a mid 90's Dodge 1 ton dualie that would knock off high 7/low 8 second passes... it had a sticker in the back window that said "BANKS POWER", and was the tow truck for the owner's bracket racer that he ran on saturday and sunday.. he'd pull in with his 30+foot enclosed trailer with his "real" race car hooked up, unhook the trailer, go thru tech, and embarass imports. but he could only go fast if he put it in 4 wheel drive- if he tried a WFO run in 2wd, he's just leave a really cool set of 4 black marks the whole 660 feet...
Not to hijack, but a friend just sent me this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k62gW3Se5e0&feature=player_embedded
Who'd a guessed?
Well, not that I would have found my self in a tug-off with some nozzle in a mall parking lot but lets just assume that I did... as soon as he bounced over the curb I'd have put it in reverse and pushed. But, that would never happen because I'd have spilled bleach under his tires when no one was looking.

THAT IS AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
So the moral of this thread, Ford>Chevy, Dodge>Chevy, VW family truckster>Chevy.

Very pleasant mixture, for the observer.
Y'all stand back now and hold my beer.
the vw vs chevy reminds me of mom vs dad battles , mom may look meek but you know who pulls more in decisions lol. i just feel like those kids were cheering !mom!mom!mom!mom!
it's lots of fun... I think the VW posted earlier probably waited till the "real" truck broke traction and then just ran away with it
