And a PS: Suspension parts are on the way. Time to make it really handle.
We entered our Porsche in a PCA concours this past weekend. Concours? That's not very hardcore.
Well, it was an Oktoberfest celebration co-hosted by the Citrus and Space Coast regions: $10 per person for lunch, no extra charge to be part of the concours. Lunch included a nice selection of brats and sausages plus German potato salad. It was delish.
Did we win? Hell no, but we did get to spend a nice Sunday morning checking out cars and seeing friends. The judges gave our car the same amount of attention as the ones that looked brand-new, including a 356 Cabriolet, a 1965 912 and a slope-nosed Turbo.
We also discussed some low-buck tech tips with Lou Verdiales, owner of Aero Dynamics. They service both Porsches and planes. Know what that means? Time to order some more parts and get back in the garage.
As far as I know, Aero Dynamics does not have a website. They do have a phone, though: (386) 304-0380.
They're located in the Spruce Creek Fly-In (Port Orange, Fla.), and Lou is a nice guy who has a great reputation. Tell him we sent you.
He's also hosting an open house later this month. Details are toward the bottom of this page: http://spc.pca.org/
Porsches on the lawn at a Concourse in the Florida sun, and it only cost $10? That's very Grassroots!
