It's the car I was discussing in the "Paging Dr. Keith" thread - '96 base Miata, 108k on the clock, tons of FM parts. I made a low-reasonable offer and the PO took it due to a variety of motivating conditions. It's a year or two before I was really planning to buy a track/autox rat, but the opportunity was too good to pass up. Overall it's mechanically sound, not rusty, and never really been wrecked. It's going to need a rear wheel bearing at some point but it came with spare rear hubs and new bearings. Just need to get them pressed in and then I can swap the hubs.
Plan is to run it at a trackday or two per year, and autocross it in whatever class it happens to fall.
Short list of the good stuff:
Supercharger - FM Ubercharger, 10psi intercooled, dynoed just under 240 rwhp
Racing Beat exhaust w/ RB header and unknown brand cat
ACT II organic clutch, light flywheel, short shifter
FM coilover kit with Koni Sportsand FM hats
FM brace package including butterfly
Good-Win big brake kit with 2-piece slotted rotors
Torsen
Big aluminum radiator
Hard Dog Hardcore bar with harness bar
Momo race buckets and 5-points (currently has stock passenger seat in, but I have both of the other mismatched pairs in the basement)
Spare set of Kosei K1s with older V700s
Nice looking car with a nice list of extras. Good score.

A quick note:
If it hasn't been dyno tuned with AFR's recorded, that would be a good move before doing your 1st track day. Might want to record your compression readings as a baseline too.

miatame had the JR supercharger on his which was nice, but we put a BRP coldside manifold on it and it transformed the powerband. that thing must be a total hoot.
Delaware... This car looks familiar. I may have autoxed with this car before. Looks nice man good buy!

Thanks! It was dyno tuned just before I got my hands on it by a shop near Wales, PA. I do not know the contact for the shop but I am going to ask the PO so I can get that information - I am trying to collect as much info as possible. I'd like to get the graphs, too, if there are any. Taking compression figures is probably a good idea too.

Thanks also. If you have autocrossed with the Brandywine Motorsport Club, you've probably seen it. The PO used it also for track days at Pocono and NJMP. I don't think it's done any Philly Region events but I expect to run it at Delware Park in October.

Drop us a line and let us know who you bought it from - we like to keep track of where the computers are so we have an upgrade history. I see a coolant reroute kit and I think that header is a RB unit.
They're pretty fun to drive - congrats!

As noted, the light blue one is my wife's 2004 TSX. But thank you - I am a firm believer in using the right tool for the job. Further upside to that is the TSX has 33,000 on it, the 2000 GC has less than 60k, and the 2003 325i has about 65k. I forsee no need to replace a car for at least the next 5 years (barring accidents) which is in large part what let me afford this little impulse buy.
Now I just need to find garage space for the old Pontiac so the Miata can have its spot so the GC can go back in the garage.

If it was the August 2010 event, that was me driving. Otherwise, for the past few years, I've been driving the 325i. Looking forward to DP again - it was fun there this spring even though the BMW is not competitive. 6 runs + 5 fun runs just for staying to clean up (which I's do anyway) = great day on course.

They are growing on me. At first I was undewhelmed, but they cleaned up well. These and the K1s are both 15x7 with 205s on them, which is a little narrow for the power this thing can exert. I think the longrange plan is to sell these once the tires are worn out, put new street rubber on the K1s, and get 15x8s with competition rubber in the 245 ballpark. That's the LONG RANGE plan, however, because this has completely used the available discretionary funds.
