Sure, but then you still have that extra weight all on the nose from the iron block. Were I paying Shelby money, I'd hold on to my pennies for at least an '11.

Yeah, but I wouldn't pay the Shelby Tax to start with. I'd just get a GT and slap a Vortech on it.

They did. The pictures posted are of a Shelby prototype widebody do-hickey.
THIS:
Is a real, stock, 2014 Shelby GT500.

OK, I must learn to proof read.
The owner is the husband of a friend of my wife’s. Go it.
I get a new car every year if I want one or not It’s not free, it’s a tough life. It’s not totally free, but heavily subsidized it covers unlimited miles, maintenance, tires, insurance and I’ve calculated it and it comes in about 50% the cost of buying a car as we do 30K miles a year as our primary car.
I could get a Shelby as my lease car, but that’s too many $$’s and as my wife is the primary driver, she wants an auto. I was looking at 07’s as Tom said as I thought there might be a cat in hells chance of affording one, iron block be dammed. I’m sure I could live with a mere 500hp, after all I’ve never got out of a Viper and said ‘Gee, that’s slow’, I have got out of them and thoughts ‘hmm, that’s a bit slow off the corners, it could do with more low end torque’ (yes really’ but the Shelby having a blower really doesn’t suffer from that!
So, to sum it up.
1. I really really like the car.
2. I don’t want to afford one.
3. I really must learn to read what I’ve written before hitting send
4. Our crappy 2013 V6 is faster than a stock 302 Windsor and right with a 96 Mod motor Cobra

you're funny.
I like it, too. I am confused, though, if it's heavily subsidized, how is it too much money?
