Evidently 1 of 2 built. A friend purchased it at the Mecum Kissimmee auction last month and came through town last week. I went and put a new set of tires on it for him, even though the tires on it only had ~1800 miles on it. Fun to drive and sounded MEAN!

Nice! I actually miss Oldsmobile. I liked the Aurora.
That link says it has an aluminum 4.0 overhead cam V8? What motor is that? I bet that revs nicely.
I.......I want an Oldsmobile Aurora?
A Cadillac Northstar derivative:

The last Aurora and Intrigue were pretty good looking vehicles, the 3.5 and 4.0 engines weren't without their flaws but pretty good for a GM car of the day too.

decent cars but why did gm have to put the starter in the V of the engine block lol
those are fun cars to drive, horrible cars to work on... i had the (dis)pleasure of putting an alternator, serpentine belt, and valve cover gaskets in a 97 Aurora... it paid my rent for the month, but it was enough to make me never ever want to own one...

Because nobody told them that's where you put the supercharger?
Hey, I remember watching that one cross the block when it came up. Neat, odd car.
I wasn't familiar with the engine either, but whatever exhaust this car has on it makes it sound evil! Evidently the transmission is different too. My buddy told me something about it having a 4 speed set up, making the car good for 180mph supposedly. I guess true pace cars do need to be able to move along well. Getting it up to speed took awhile though!
In addition to this (and a few other cars), he bought a super low mileage Buick Grand National GNX. I wish I could have driven that one too.
