'Tis the season... I had a friend in the Navy years (& years) ago convince me that having my aftermarket-tinted windows down half-way was bad for the tint. Either up or down, no in-between.
Old wive's tale? Legit? The WRX isn't tinted but both the Abarth and xB are.
Maybe get some light scratches from the window seals on cheap tint, but I see no other reason?
Old tint would turn purple in the sun, and the halfway down thing was true.
Nowadays if you spend more on material for the job than you do on toilet paper for the month, its a nonissue.
