Local to me has popped up an E30 325is that's had a Ford 2.3T grafted in for sale, under challenge budget. Tell me why I shouldn't do this. BimmerFord

The link works for me Here's the text: 1987 BMW E30 325es $1900/BO
Picked this car up in November from a friend in NE Ohio. But unfortunately I have decided to sell, although if money allows and I can sell off one of my Ep3's instead, then I will keep it. Anyways, this is pretty much a repeat of his FS posting, although i have a spare Esslinger head, a237 cam, ported and polished upper and lower intake manifolds, and a set of 4x100 15x8/15x10 BBS RS rims I'd sell along with it for a little extra. So, on with the ad.....
I really hate to sell the car but lack of time, unexpected expenses - and the age old saying - family comes first ...
Fun daily driver that could be driven as is or improved on.

Driven pretty much daily in the summer as long as the sun is shining. More of a daily driver/cruise car than anything else.
Body Solid doors and floors. Fenders have been off and or replaced at some point. Hood has some dings and a 2x4" rust bubble on the front passenger corner. Driver fender has bubble on lower corner. Trunk spoiler missing some paint on top.
Interior is ok/decent for the age. Black leather seats, black carpet. Power sunroof. Radio/cd combo w/remote power antenna. cd does not work. heater works poorly. Typical cracked e30 dashpad. Power steering utilizes Ford ps pump adapted to BMW rack. Power Windows. No cruise, ac, or other comfort items.
Listed as much detail(pos/neg) as possible to save some time for potential buyers and myself. Car is a solid driver.
$1900/BO
And no I'm not the seller or affiliated, just curious... I don't know anything about these motors other than it's supposedly relatively easy to make big numbers for cheap.

I used to work for Motion Dynamics in Austin, TX. We were the self proclaimed SVO (2.3T) Experts. We built them all from 300hp all the way to 650 RWHP. The Esslinger head makes a huge difference, so does the A237 cam. If they're obtainable for a reasonable cost, get them. The turbo and intake setup looks good. This should be a good 400+hp combo. Getting a 2.7 stroker kit is worth doing, that's how we built the 650 RWHP Turbo Coupe. That thing was a rocket! You can find a 2.5 Ranger crank and get a bearing spacer kit that will allow it to all fit together and work in harmony. Those work pretty well too. For a good DD, I'd leave it 2.3, swap the head and cam, put a FelPro 1035 head gasket on there (pressed steel o-ring around the cylinders) and have fun.

DAMN clean install. PLEASE get it!!!
I showed it to the Wife, and she said: sure, just sell your M3 track car first. Sorry, that's not happening. If anyone wants I will get the seller's contact info and forward it to them.
Last time at the junkyard, I pulled a Mustang 5.0 distributor to swap for e30 parts. The guy I was swapping with is dropping a 302 into an e30, and says it really hasn't been very difficult....
