Glad to see the airbag go off.

It's mischief... they won't pull it.

Actually I take this back, this is why you should never come close to approaching 10/10ths on the street in a capable car.
e.g. If I drive 10/10ths on the street in my Insight I can kind of keep up with traffic.

This, I think every film since Mischief 3000 or Destroy has started with a crash......the STI rollover at mid ohio(iirc) was one of the best ones....
Well, as the quote goes...A man's got to know his limitations. Boy may have just learned where his 11/10s is.
Wait, is he one of their kids or little brother or something, because those guys are atleast in there 30s. And I too doubt they will pull the video down, they don't care about getting in trouble. They have a stack of money and no sense to go to a racetrack. I just shake my head at people doing this kinda E36 M3 on open public roads.
I remember when I was young and stupid and thought doing E36 M3 like this was cool. Now I realize it will just get someone hurt eventually.

This. For the love of all that is holy, this.

They're just user submitted or random finds they secured the rights to......that wreck prolly happened awhile back and someone submitted to dado at dtmpower or dustin on the mischief board.
I haven't been around there since it was teckademics.....so idk. Some of their stuff is stupid as hell, but alot more of it is actually pretty cool(Gumball, Cannonball, Players Run, Woodward, etc) coverage......I'm glad they got away from the early retarded street racing videography though.

And for the love of all that is secular.
His 10/10ths looks like an experienced driver's 4/10ths. Dumbass. If it was my kid who did this and then posted it on the web he'd be lucky to make it to age 17.

Exactly. He was driving like he didn't know the road, or the car. Even if he was on a closed course, he should've been going, at most, half of the speed at which he was travelling in the video.
Even on a temporary rallycross course or something, I walk the course, make a diagram and then rehearse my driving lines in my head over and over again before I even take my first run. That kid looked like he heard that road was fun to drive on, so he hauled his car up there and decided to jump right in.
Because that's how he drives. Flat out. All the time.

I live my life 1/4mile at a time.....

Something about that reminds me of these guys.
In reply to ransom:
That sounds almost as bad as east coast camry
Edit: Also, kids that act/look like that in the picture are given a really nice welcome when they first arrive in prison too.....watched far too many amusing things from the officer's station(if it wasn't rape or violence, we just laughed)

If it was my kid I'd like to think he would have feathered the throttle until the nose took a set and then turned left, following the curve in the road
it looked to me that the car was in the air from the last hump in the road... you can see a slight jerk to the left when he lands and wheels get SOME traction before he hits that first rock
NOHOME wrote: What did I miss that he does not even try to turn the wheel?
Down hyar in th' Durty Durty Souf', we calls that a 'brain fart'.
I like his immediate reaction following the crash. The fear and despair in his voice as he imagines the phone call to Dad.
the one and only time I did something stupid.. it was water that stopped me. I stuffed a VW beetle into a creek while driving like an asshat on a dirt fire road.. right up to the doors. Once I got her pulled out, I just drove away with no worries and no damage
NOHOME wrote: What did I miss that he does not even try to turn the wheel?
I think part of it is...well, lack of traction under the front wheels.
The rest: He froze up, or fell into something they call on Canada's Worst Driver: Target Fixation.
You go where you look.
The moron looks square at that big rock coming at him really quick and...that's where he ends up. Which makes sense, as really, how often do you steer in a direction that you are NOT looking at?
I just watched it a few time in slow mo and if anything he straightens the wheel up after hitting the first rock. @35 seconds he only has the wheel turned enough for a slight kink like the turns he had been going through previously. He must have really not known the road to freeze up that bad. "Misjudgment of the road caused the accident" ... my foot.

Hey, hey, I just so happen to be born in Arizona. Y'all telling me this could be lurking in my genetic code!
Me thinks that "target fixation" could explain it. Kid reminds me of when I used to borrow Mom's 240z when I was 14...there but for the grace of god...
I was two when I first made off with Dad's car and it did not end all that well, there were several deceased vegetables in someones garden and a sideswiped car in my wake. Truth is if you polled the collective, I imagine a few such stories could be had for those cases where the statute of limitations has expired.
