I think the E55 looks classier. I love those big monoblock wheels.

I'd be WAY more scared to work on the Merc.

The E55 will cost enough in maintenance to afford TWO CTS-Vs. Plus it never impressed me as anything other than a high speed highway cruiser. The Caddy might actually be fun in some turns.

Do these cost the same? What do CTS-V's cost now anyway?

Vs. a new CTS-V the Caddy all the way. The E55 is a great looking car and great car (if you're a merc tech) but why not go with newer, faster, and better handling?

I think you and the other commentators are right, although the used cars about the same price (depending on mileage) my brain tells me the CTSV, its cheaper to maintain, its got a 6 speed and more power....but I just always thought these Mercedes' looked pretty menacing and classy at the same time.

Tough call. I ohsowant an E55 wagon....just because.

Saw a black CTS-V Coupe today on the street. That car is like Darth Vader said "build me today's AMX, now".

I think I'd rather have an XJ8-R.

CTS-V sounds much better at the race track so that is my vote.

I have seen some E55's advertised for really short cash. I would think you could pick one up for quite a bit less than the caddy.

Caddy all the way and twice on Sunday... not even a debate, regardless of how much cheaper the E55 may be. Actually, the cheaper the E55, the scarier it would be.

I'd rather have the E500 than the CTS-V, but I'm weird.

I can't comment on the E55 but my buddy traded his E60M5 on a used CTS-V ('11, I think) that he absolutely loves. Rear tire wear under his foot is ... considerable.
