Need to prep parts for paint / plasti-dip. Clear coat is flaking and some minor other bits need attention. It doesn't need to be stripped to metal, a DA seems to be the right tool. I don't have a compressor. Can anyone recommend a good electric. Internet search reveals bad reviews of most everything.

I can’t recommend a good electric DA but I have been using a cheap Harbor Freight DA Polisher to strip paint. I’ve used it on a door and fender so far and it’s worked out fine.

I love my Porter Cable random orbital. Use it for home projects and it served well on body work on a car I painted in my garage.
