I wonder how difficult it would be to retrofit an inertia switch on a spitfire street car? Also I wonder is it even remotely nessesary?

Also any inexpensive pump recommendations for carbs?

I've got a pump from an MGB that would be inexpensive if you want it. I'm not sure if it's Lucas or not, I'd have to take a look at it.

Should be easy enough to retrofit the switch. It only matters if you crash the car :)

Switch is cake. We have to add them to our ministock cars. It appears Ford had two different switches, one which goes into the power wire, the other style goes into the relay trigger circuit. I presume the amp load rating for the two switches is different.

Now for the abuse- I'm sure its more likely a Lucas pump will not run when its supposed to more often than it will run when its not supposed to.

We built my RX3 around a two fuel pump and pickup system with Holley blue pumps. After replacing them on annual basis, I installed carter pumps and never replaced them again.

Do you run a pressure regulator?
