I know a fellow who's professor emeritus at a prominent university. He makes major bank while working one day a week and living in his luxurious ocean-view condo.... just like Tim and Marjorie.
Congratulations!

Congrats to everyone involved. As a business owner I know how hard it is to give up control.
As a Son I know how hard it is to work for your old man :)

In this case it does still come with a paycheck and real duties
We went through this process at Flyin' Miata. The Suddards aren't at the end game yet of full retirement/relinquishing of control and being family, I suspect they'll never fully get there :) But I recognize this step and I think we've all seen it coming over the years. Congratulations everyone.

Where does it say General Manager Emeritus?
Congrats to you all. Been a fan, follower, reader, subscriber since I found you while living and autocrossing in Atlanta at the turn of the century. One of the best products/magazines/web and media businesses I've ever had the good fortune of dealing with.
Excelsior!
Should not be surprised, Tim was doing this well before we started working, and we retired a year ago. Congratulations Tom! Don't keep working too hard Tim.

I just want to get busted in rank to maybe Corporal Manager so I don't have to think or plan, just do stuff Tom orders me to do. (Second part of my master plan is to become so dotty he doesn't bother ordering.)

In reply to Tom Suddard :
Remember what is best in life.
1. Crush your enemies.
2. See them driven before you.
3. Hear the lamentations of their women.

I just want to come in later and later until no one realizes I'm not there.
8:30 am coffee on the back porch instead of 7 am coffee in traffic sure would be nice.

A micro car rally sounds fantastic! (And d really like to go!)
Heres to many more!
Good timing - Now Tom has to complete all the dreaded HR year end reviews! Just kidding and congrats.
In reply to Tom Suddard :
Congratulations!
Reading Tim's pieces in the mag over the past year kind of had me wondering when this was going to happen. They seemed pretty retrospective.
Does this mean Tim's column will be replaced by one from Tom?
In reply to Andy Hollis :
He'll be continuing to write his column in Classic Motorsports.
In Grassroots Motorsports, his column will move a bit further into the magazine, while I'll write "Starting Line."
You'll need to log in to post.
