That wing and tonneau cover look aftermarket too. I really like the white one, but the stripes look odd to me.

Tough call. I'd probably just flip a coin and enjoy your new ride. Either way you've got a killer new toy.

Actually the tonneau cover is factory as is the wing. The CE is the only one that got the factory Tonneau and some got carpet in the bed depending on the order.

I can tell you at speed thw ing actually does something for the handling. Allegedly its worth almost 160 lb's of down-force at 90.

CE guy is a little weird so thinking red one might win out. With the clutch replacement its just to much of a risk.

There is actually a 06 silver RC with a blown motor for sale ~100 miles from here that I could get up and running with a 10K mile used motor for ~14.5K and about 30 hours of work. Giving me tons of room to build the motor out with heads and cam if I wanted too.

In reply to wearymicrobe: That is the way I would go. put a new clutch in while you are at it, and profit when you are done with it.

I got bored and started experimenting with searching this forum through Google. Then I found this old thread, got through three pages kind of near the edge of my seat, and then it just sort of ends.

What did you end up doing wearymicrobe? Did you buy a truck?

Last I remember, he was searching for a pre-war Packard or something.

Hah, it was like reading your favorite article in Grassroots Motorsports Magazine and getting to the end, only to find that your little cousin ripped out all of the pages at the end. And ate them.

I actually flipped one and made a grand and a half. Black / Black with low mileage. Did not even take possession just paperwork. The Packard was a complete and utter bust like a complete bust. I will be licking my wounds on that one for a while, tons and tons of research only to find that the car in question was not what it was being sold as.

I got distracted by R8's for a bit for myself and that's what has been burning hard lately. Though its a weird sort of love, more appreciation of the total package not love.

I did get the S197 mustang which I am going to give to my father when he retires. 14K out of pocket for a 06 Mustang GT premium with 38K miles I could not turn it down which is in the garage now.

I am actually out looking at a Evora for someone this afternoon.

iirc the 05 and older trucks are in the same insurance category as the viper but the 06 and newer ones are just like a standard truck. iirc something about being an SRT-10 vs a Ram 1500 srt-10.
