Honestly the r/t is what pushed me over the edge . I was still debating until then.
General plan at the moment is to use the 2.4 swap stuff in the r/t, and driver it, while doing a full bare shell day 2 resto of the acr.
Why?
BECAUSE I CAN!!!!
Because you’re berkeleying insane. I mean that endearingly

That’s why we love him. He makes me feel less nuts by comparison
thanks yall. i feel loved.
and kinda like a madman all at the same time....
As somebody who spends too much time here, I completely understand why we would be restoring an ACR Neon. It's still insane though. I look forward to the Neon resto build thread.
If y'all want to hear REALLY nuts, the pmans for delivery:
I go to Richmond Virginia friday night after work, sleep a fer hours at my grandmother in laws house. Meet nate in virginia beach at 7am to load r/t on a uhaul dolly, parts, and him in my truck.
Deliver that all to albemarle, hand him the bmw. Drive to Goldsboro, load other pile of parts and acr on the truck, and bring home.
About 1000 miles overall. In a day and a half. Over half towing a neon on a tow dolly behind the parking lot build Silverado.

Yep. Your berkeleying Nuts! and you fit in just fine here.
In reply to Indy-Guy :
I take a lot of pride in being nucking futs. Especially for this group!!
Indy-Guy is right though, if you're not at least slightly nuts this is not the group for you.
I will say the reason I stay here is the like minds. I may build a (fill in the blank) car next. I don't get flamed for my weird choice, I get support. I also like learning about other cars, I won't buy a Neon, well not this week, who knows about next, but I like learning how its put together.
Ah, but we have gotten off topic, back to the Neon!
