Well, it looks pretty good with those tractor tires on it. (And the current owner seems to be very proud of those headlights)

You posted it here, and we all know what that means. "No, that's a horrible idea" just isn't what we do here. Looks like a lot of fun if you have a decent place to play with it.
Order some spare axle shafts cause I dont think stock sammy axles like 5:13s/lockers/low tcase gears and tractor tires especially if there is traction involved. Mud they should be fine.
Coming from someone who’s owned three of them and drive them all year long with that least 3 full seasons over many years with no doors or tops or tailgates etc and drove them ALL OVER...

I've got to believe the tires alone are worth more than he's asking.

Hard to find any Sammy at that price nowadays. Toyota axles make a nice swap.
Struggling to see any downside.
