My buddy recently sold an aborted father and son air cooled vw project and was looking for a more usable replacement. Enter the 1995 Buick Roadmaster Wagon.
In the spirit of full disclosure my friend owns a car dealership and routinely buys cars from people off the street. On Monday an older gentleman stops in and asks if they buy cars. They say sure bring it by and an hour later he shows up in the Buick. He initially wants $450 but after, pointing out several flaws they agree on $225.00.
Now a buick roadmaster is not the ideal challenge car but with John's recent aristocrat class proposal creating a place to play, I suggested entering the buick as a family project. His 14 year old son and 13 year old daughter quickly signed on creating the team.
I vote yes with a thumbs up

They ordered a set of 9c1 caprice springs today for $100 as well as a quicker ratio steering box for $65.
Total budget so far $225.00 + $165 = $390
I love the idea of a buick challenge car. Ted might want to buy the buick before your friend gets started building it.

They also bought a set of jeep 5x5 wheels 17 x 7.5 wheels today for $100.00. They will need some hubcentric wheel spacers to make them fit that are available for about $100.
$390 + $100 = $490

You bringing the miata again this year or will the Volvo be making its debut?
The Aristocrat Class needs more Corinthian Leather.
I just made a thread about Roadmaster wagons a few days ago and now I really want one.
This is awesome!

The miata is up for sale again. Ted is suppose to be getting the Volvo ready, so it probably wouldn't be making it to the challenge yet again.

Yeah we will be there. I'll probably start working on the volvo once the miata is sold. I could also run this

I love those Roadmaster wagons for some reason. The Impala of that era is also a favorite.
I approve of this thread.
Any update on this? I would love to duel it out in matching Buick wagons!
