I've come across a 05 FX45 for sale near me. It seems a reasonably clean, well maintained vehicle with 89,000 rounds on it with new brakes, and tires. asking 10,500. Its not exactly the vehicle I was looking for, and the cargo area is laughable, but I could make it work for my lifestyle for now. Unsurprisingly, the V8 is a big draw for me....man I'm so tired of driving my gutless pathfinder, maybe its making me think illogically.
Are these things money pits? Total crap to drive? This one has a trailer hitch on it, is that reason enough to worry about the trans or are they decently stout?
Im thinking price wise in the 9-9.5k range sounds fair. opinions?
Classic Infiniti huge depreciation. Sounds nice.
I find that Infiniti dealerships don't keep many used Infiniti vehicles on their lots. At least not models more than just a couple years old. I think it is because the dealerships don't want to highlight how much the depreciation really is.
320 hp 4.5L engine but thirsty with rating of 14/15/18 on Premium fuel.
3500# tow capacity.

It looks like an armadillo. That's all I have to say.

Ohh that's weak and quite the turnoff.

Im driving a 16 year old rusty pathfinder currently. Looks aren't a priority here...though I am oddly un-offended by the shape of the FX. Some type of fun to drive factor with the ability to haul my newborn, all the related supplies, and traverse my un-plowed dirt road in the winter are key. 3500# towing is probably good enough for me, I only pull a popup camper, or utility trailer. Superduty F250 owner I am not.
Premium fuel at 18mpg on a good day is rough though....then again I'm averaging 14mpg on regular now.....with half the horsepower.
The Infinity depreciation is amazing. It makes me happy, since I will never buy a new one....but damn that's gotta hurt for the guy that does.
Price out a set of tires. I seem to remember they are somewhat an odd size and pricey.
