The Mosler ad in GRM for the Consuliers. OK, I am generally suffering from a pervy desire for unloved exotics so these would fit right in.

Anybody on this forum ever driven/owned one? What are they like to live with?

Why not have someone from GRM toddle on over to Mosler and test drive as many as possible before being thrown out. As a service to your readers, of course.

I'm with you. I really would like to pick one of those cars up. I hate to be the guy that asks, but does anyone know if these can be a DIY car? There seem to be some high mile examples, so they seem to be reliable, at least compared to anything else with the coolness for the dollar factor that a Consulier carries.

When those cars first came out, back when they were really, really ugly and still powered by Chrysler 2.2s, the company brought two of them to an autocross we were putting on and let anyone drive them. They were astonishingly fast for the day.

Those are the ones!

I also feel a sick attraction to them nowadays.

I have contacted them regarding those ads-IMO, they want substantially more for the cars than they are worth. My friend and I are ready to buy a couple, but not for the over 10k they are asking for hi mile, worn out examples. Nice ones are much more.

Be fair...It could be far worse; they're not modern-nissan ugly.

I used to have a set of those wheels (or something like them) in 14". I still regret selling them. I would KILL for some in high-offset, 4x100, 15" or 16" size.
