Anybody seen this before? Totally nuts.

The crashes are wicked. Pretty amazing that the boats handle that well though.

Been around for a while, I think it started in Australia. Anyone can drive, how'd you like to be the Navigator?
Yeah, I have no idea how they get them to hook like that, but much like an autox, the spins are pretty spectacular (esp. when they get beached lol)
They used to have Jet Sprinting on Speedvision. It disappeared after we were blessed with Nasc...um, I mean.....SpeedTV.
Boats with roll gages = badass.
I used to watch it on Speed Sunday mornings. That was before I learned about autocross. I considered it the aquatic version of a Rally because the use a driver and navigator.
If you look at the video of the guys flipping the boat back over you can see that they are not even in waist high water, It is hardly 3 ft deep. Seems to me it should be deeper.
Those jet boats can run in VERY shallow water. As you can see they have very little vee to the hull and once they get up to speed and are on top of the water only the jet nozzle is really in the water.
That seems like very expensive racing. That, or every team consists of driver, navigator, and dent puller.
