The Lightning could be returning as the Lobo.

Lowered, and with more HP.  Ford might be listening to a niche group of gearheads again?

More like they listened to the sales numbers for the Raptor.

Just came here to say that the '99 to '03 has really aged well.  It's probably slower than a bog stock Mr. Mundane work truck from '23 with the 5.0.  But I don't care.  I love those 2nd gen Lightnings.  Too bad as it seems the prices are communicating that everyone else does too.

For a while there you could get a factory short bed regular cab F150 with the 5.0 and a supercharger around 46K give or take at a dealer with a warranty and CARB legal.  If they did that and put the XLT body kit and the XLT power pack on it and sold it for 55K they would sell every single one.

I really loved that era Lightning, I just saw one the other day in the first time in like 10 years. Looked great.

Had me wondering why more people don't lower that era F150.

Who else remembers the Lobo R/C cars from the mid-late 80s?

My elementary school best friend had one.  It kicked all the butt.

I wonder how many people will make that nostalgia connection?  Kids who drooled over these in the Sears Wish Book are now of prime spending age.
