not bad, but this car will be mid engined
Krozen, I'm liking it more than the first one your showed. I think you'll have to move the driver compartment forward though. There needs to be more space for the engine and transmission in back and there doesn't need to be that much space in the front.
I would also see if you can reduce the amount of overhang in front of the front wheels.
Overall, nice work though!
In reply to VTX and 05xtsy: Your points are right on the money. So why has Krozn spent all this effort on a cad model that is clearly on the wrong package??

my design is angry and ready for battles heheheh...
I have many different design details to test on it....
Well, we are still working on this back part of our design. Soon we will finish this concept by making realistic sketches and we are going to send it to the competition. After that we will probably work on new ones (as from what I have understood, we can send several concepts as a team). Here are some more ideas for the back and a proposal for headlights at the front:
we also may work on this one to send - it has small differences but at the end it looks like another car. Personally I like it best.
And last but not least, a side sketch I just got from Konstantinos - the rear part is a bit revised and I think its better now:

Thanas- If your going to represent COTS(Commercial off the shelf) items such as the Celica headlights youve shown, be careful to represent their scale accurately, the Celica light is a popular kit light because of its apparent sharpness, however it is a very large housing and often looks silly when placed on anything other than a celica... The sharp angles of the light do match your other design elements but youve drawn the light at about a 40-50% scale to actual size
Krozn wrote: Hi, and thanks for coms. I had not put side view for since the beginning of this contest ... I think the engine has its place largely on my drawing. I had reduce the front of car and a few touches here and there, and still work on the back. Do you still think I'm on the wrong package?
hmmm I suggest giving it more muscular shoulders to help you raise the roof a little...and put some design details to help you fill the dead space right after the rear wheel...and make it longer
I actually draw with the car lowered. the suspention is compressed (I think it's more presentable) and i'not in blue print and the rear is in progress an now i go to sleep, 4:24 am here
In reply to Birbilis:
Nice work but it is too blury, don't you have a clearer image so we can see more details; Ενδιαφέρον είναι πάντως
In reply to 05xtsy: I like this one more than your previous entry, good job!
rotr8 you are right about the headligts, even though I believe that the ones I showed aren't from the celica.

In reply to Javelin:
I think the design looks great. Reminds me of an open top daytona prototype car from the grand am series. I'd drive it
In reply to winning8:
Hey, thanks! That's the look I was going for, though I fear the nose is too radical for production. The sides and rear are pretty "simple".
I don't really know what FF & GRM are looking for, so my first design was a modern take on classic 50's sports cars that nobody liked, then my second design was a very modern targa that was deemed "boring", and now I have this wild open-topped LMP/CanAm type car. Everybody seems to be gushing over "Elise Mk2" designs, so maybe that is where I should head.
In reply to Javelin:
I'd prefer something that looks like it belongs on the track so yours really appeals to me. The front end that goes almost straight down between high fender arches. I don't want a huge nose on a mid engined car.
I think the rear of your design is perfect, but you're probably right about the front. Either too difficult or too expensive to produce. Maybe something smoother and simpler, but still short would work.

hmmm it has good lines, i find the driver position a bit lower than what the given chassis driver's position I suggest trying to define the areas of the car where sun hit and the areas where there are shadows, to make it more realistic...and if it is possible to paint it on a program like photoshop or gimp etc or using markers
In reply to Javelin:
Paper and pencils work just fine. I have no problem seeing your design intention. You could try adding a marker to your tool box, if you are motivated enough.
3 more sketches for today:
