mmmh...too much long wheelbase or very small rims? Make your rear wings more wider as in your sketch. Nice neverless.

In reply to NXXN:
Looks great! However, it's too much of a front engine design rather than a mid-engine. your dash to axil need to be shorter IMO.
To NXXN,
I agree with the others. The proportions just don't seem quite right, but I think if you made some tweaks it looks like a pretty nice design!

Better...your reflection of your surfaces is a little strange. It's a distract from you design. IMO the reflection want to flow nicely with your fenders/shoulders. Look at your reflection on the right hood fender. That's nice. Getting better though. I would move your dash to axel more IMO. Don't mind me, this is just nit picking.

NXXN, I really like this design. Could you make a change for me? I would like to see it with a full height windshield. I actually would like to see the final design with a bolt-on windshield, so I could run that on the street, and then on track days put on a shorter wind deflector like you have shown.
Hey guys. I started a little late but I'll try to catch the deadline. It is still work in progress and some parts are not finished yet, but You can see what I am aiming for. Do you like it? What should I change? is this direction good? Thanks
sharp! love the front vent ducting over the fenders and the subdued haunches. i think you're moving in the right direction.
My 818 design... http://m1119.photobucket.com/albumview/albums/leephi65/FFR-818-8.jpg.html?src=www&action=view¤t=FFR-818-8.jpg
ScottyB- that design looks perfect to me it is what i had envisioned that the 818 should look like i really hope that your design wins i would love to own that car.

I like it, especially the short overhangs. I would never get in it without first putting on my helmet with a lexan face shield . . . & probably a neck and chest protector. I'd hate to mount up and my first trip be to the ER for stitches. i.e. sharp a pillar and rear roof section would be a major hazard.
It looks like a shortened Vector W2 - which holds a dear place in my heart next to Farah Fawcet posters and old Clash albums! It could use some smoothing, but it has a pleasing aggresive rawness and makes an interesting counterpoint to Nxxn's teardrop design.
Looking at all these great concepts - and honestly there are a number that I'd love to see made; It makes me with that there was a rapid prototype company who'd get involved. Imagine if FF made a fully functional platform - sans lights, and you could buy four or five very different bodys to put on it.? The mind reels a the posibilities.
In reply to Graefin10: Thank you! Yes the car does have some sharp edges. I wanted it to have a stealth fighter look. It does have a removable targa-top, so there would most likely be some rubber weather stripping along the A-pilar edge. No ER...
In reply to leephi:
Yea, I was just making a funny, although I did put a sizable knot and cut on my head getting into a Ferarri 308 w/removable roof.
Lee Philips: Your design makes me think that a pretty great car could be made with no compound curves. Usually when you see it done, it's amateurish, but yours is almost all planes a la oregami or this car, which I've always liked:
In reply to kreb: Thank you! I love the Vector and the Clash too. Yeah I'd like to smooth the front section a little, but the software is limiting...
I'm all over NXXN's concept. The simplicity, proportions, and agressiveness is just what the 818 chassis needs wrapped over it. I enjoy the headrest/intake detail. Can't wait to see that fleshed out more. Also digging your direction, Goran. Very tidy and balanced design. I especially like what appears to be a hood spoiler just above the headlights, and how the character line runs all the way through the a-pillar.
Here are two of three of my submissions. I would have liked to put the Grapnel on a diet, but there is little time left for me next week to rework it. Super fun project!
