That's a reasonable way to look at supercars

If you know about the Hennessy Venom, the Lykan Hypersport is similar but based on a Boxster/Cayman chassis rather than Elise/Exige. The real car also has jewels in the headlights etc. to boost its value past any point of sanity. This prop car is actually functionally very similar to the real thing but with lower-end parts, but it could be brought into the same league of performance with further engine and brake mods.

A fake car made up for a Fast and Furious movie that was so popular that a UAE company decided to make it real but it's just a rebodied Cayman with some mods. 

My understanding was that the Lykan had a bunch of legal holds on the design. Not that it matters for this sale but they are going to be very low in production in the future. not my cup of tea though. 

Disappointed at the lack of usual BaT pricing insanity, is it impossible to harness this evil power for good?

Went for $175k in the end, I was really hoping it would at least beat that autotragic mk4 Supra...

Yeah, disappointed.

In this brave new world $175k for a Boxter with a kit car body on it apparently isn't much. I feel something about that.
