This cars use as the second car for me is pure entertainment

currently the miata sees one or two track days a year and about a monthly autocross with a sprinkle of drives to work or drives for fun.

I could do two autocrosses a month with Porsche if I wanted to run Porsche and BMW. The courses are longer than SCCA courses usually and have more high speed sections

Track days are mostly a social event for me to meet up with some buddies but I enjoy it as well.

So for that use FC or FB? I do like the smaller car for dodging cones (I think anyway)

Depends on what style you like, how much money you have to spend and what future plans for the car are.

I don't care for 2nd gens so am currently building a LS6/T56 FB. If I want to continue with track stuff I'll probably do a 4.8 or 5.3/T5 in the Chumpcar since it has a mean cage and rear end. If I were to build a cheap hardcore track car from scratch it would probably be the same thing but in an FC.

Plans will depend on if I stay local or move to WA. If I move to WA it would be more likely a track car and something I can drive in the wet, which a miata is less than fun for
