Have you checked that particular car out on the Ford website? I'd use that price as the starting point. You can probably get a Focus ST3 for that price.
And... I managed to delete my inital post. Actually meant to delete the thread as it is now largely a moot point.
Checked the two suggested sources (thank you for the truecar reference, I didn't know that was a thing) and got a better offer, on a car with almost exactly what I wanted: Recaros, end of list. The only change I would have made if I had ordered it to my own specs would be to request the orange-trimmed Recaros as I think that would go pretty awesome with the blue paint. I won't care a whit when I am sitting in the seats.
I'm not sure if it will work on an st, but when I bought our fiesta I signed up for a brochure in the mail and got a 500$ off thing with jt.
The pricing of the FoST and FiST is kinda wonky. Per TrueCar.com, for FoST in Tangerine with Recaro the TrueCar estimate is $23,593 whereas for the FiST in Molten Orange with Recaro the TrueCar estimate is $22,268. At those price points for a DD wouldn't the FoST be the better option?
