Hello everyone. This post came from another discussing the Indy 500 tires. I'm wanting to run a few Auto-X events this and next year. Last event was in 2014 so still a novice. The car is a 2005 P71 with 17x7 Town Car wheels. Don't need the 200 tw tires yet. Has anyone have any experience with the 500s on a narrow wheel and heavy ride? Thanks for any help.

Go out, have fun, learn and work on the nut behind the wheel.  You won’t be fast but I suspect you know that already.  Just remember it’s about the fun and you’ll be fine.

That sounds like more fun than should be legal. I would do it!!!

No help of the heavy car side, but I ran my first full auto x season with them on the BRZ, and they performed well. Finished the season 2nd behind a M3 on RE71's. I even ran a few track days with them.

The ultimate grip isn't there, but they are pretty consistent and predictable, and have worn well.  I could see them getting a little greasy on a heavier car, but I think that might be the case for most non-pure track focused tires.  For the price I think they can't be beat!
