I started autocross in April 2018, and my first run with Martin Sports Car Club was their annual Mother's Day event on April 13, 2018. I remember the date, because it was also my wife's birthday.
As you can see from the title, they do a free event for moms every year. This year, I talked her into joining me for her first novice event.
Guess which one of us trophied?
I'm so proud!

I told her that if you trophy on your first event, you are not allowed to quit.
I was second by 0.016 seconds, but there were only four entries in E Street. Only first was a trophy finish.
She was recorded as finishing second, but we forgot to change the number for one of my runs. Take that one out, she was still third, and still in the trophies.
Give her credit, she was willing to push. She knocked off a bunch of 35 second runs when we did the fun runs later.

I was corner working, while she was in the first run group for the fun runs. Being her first event, she didn't know enough to take my helmet out of the car! Fortunately, it stayed in the passenger foot well. I don't think it was damaged.
That's awesome! Congratulations to you both.
DD#1 autocrosses with me, but I could never get DW or DD#2 to try it, even when DD#1 was running her automatic Impreza. Both would help running the events, but neither would drive.
I just registered for June. I asked her if she had any plans...
