Anyone know of a cheap, new-ish Ford-style FFS? I just don't have $600 for a new factory one and just don't feel totally comfortable with a JY piece, as prices can vary widely along with quality. Lower then free is about my price range.

There's always the option of robbing something off the back row of a Ford shop...but then you'd have to deal with John Law...just a thought, y'know?
In reply to Ranger50:
I got one for my 2000 3.0 Ranger from a similar vintage FF Taurus. I went this route because it's firewall mounted in the Taurus, where it is relatively dry. Same sensor, same connector, slightly smaller mounting holes. $7 at my local pick-a-part.
Edit:
Here is the list of compatible vehicles, courtesy of Rock Auto.
FORD EXPLORER 2001
FORD EXPLORER SPORT 2001
FORD RANGER (1999 - 2000)
FORD TAURUS (1999 - 2005)
FORD TAURUS GL (1996 - 1998)
FORD TAURUS SE 2006
FORD TAURUS SEL 2006
MAZDA B3000 2000
MERCURY MOUNTAINEER 2001
MERCURY SABLE (2001 - 2004)
No, new build, but e85 isn't exactly common and neither are FFV's or JY's.
I would use the GM FCS, but it has barbed push-lock hose ends. The Ford sensor looks like it can be taken apart to run a regular fitting, so a braided hose can be used.
