After recently having our DD totaled by a woman who tried to leave the scene of the accident I just purchased a low mileage 2015 Ford Fiesta ST. The car is pretty much the base model(not many options anyway)without the Recaro seats, navigation, etc. I know this car is pretty well thought of here. The car will be used as a daily driver with maybe an autocross now and then. My question is what if any mechanical, cosmetic or other items have people added to the car for performance or simply to increase the fun factor?

Tune options for it are pretty fun hp adders.

Gas Pedal Spacer

Rear Motor Mount

Intercooler

Cobb AP+whatever tune you want for whatever fuel you run.

Tires

Everything else kind of negates the fun/$ factor, and with the stock turbo, you might make another 3% or so more power. I did the pedal spacer first, CP-e RMM second, and got a boomba BOV spacer for free. The RMM is effective, if intrusive, and the ricerplate spoofs at every lift of ANY throttle application. I got the ricerplate for free, otherwise, I wouldn't have spent money on it. Next up, I'm doing intercooler as the factory one heat soaks pretty easily, then an E40 tune. I might hack off the muffler for more grumbly noises, but I'm plenty happy with how the car is, to be honest.

cons: The recaros suck until they're broken in, and whomever tuned the shocks needs to go back to school. They're so overdamped its ridiculous.

That pretty much hits the nail on the head. I don't have the Recaro's and I don't miss them, the stock seats work plenty well for autocrossing IMHO.

I did the RMM and you notice more noise/vibration at idle, but it tightens up the response a bit so its an OK tradeoff.

I also did Eibach front and rear sway bars. I don't think the ride suffered one bit and I like the gains in traction and keeping the body flat during aggressive maneuvers. If you want to stay in HS, I recommend just adding the rear, it takes about 5 minutes with socket set.

Tunes can be a lot of fun, but anything off the shelf will bump you to MOD because they adjust the boost levels. Technically, a spacer or modified BOV will also do that, if you are the honest type. The SCCA really needs another ST class that allows tuners!

A pedal spacer will bump you to a mod class?!

a spacer for the BOV, yes.

a spacer for the throttle pedal assembly, no.

That makes way more sense. Thanks!
