No idea on price either.

Again not really sure where to put this thread but I'll put it here.

Seems like it would be a great track vehicle as opposed to a cross-country rig.

As for towing your track-car I have no clue but I'll guess it's limited.

Unfortunate name.  If they bring it across the pond I'm sure they'll rename it. laugh

oh yeah there are two versions.

According to the article, the van is converted by Westfalia, not Ford. I'm sure there are companies in the US that would do a conversion on a Transit or any number of small vans. Unfortunately it wouldn't be a genuine Nugget.

On my last road trip I saw a lot of Ram vans either as camper conversions or repurposed work vans.

LOL, the Nugget name would indeed test horribly with active Millennials

Ursa Minor makes a pop top conversion for the US market.  I’ve considered one myself.  The Transit Connect is only rated for 2k lbs towing, though, so you’d have to be towing something pretty light.

In addition to the usual Sprinters and Transits, Sportsmobile also does a pop-top conversion on the more conventional minivan sized (but RWD) MB Metris...Which also has a 5k tow rating. No waiting, hoping, or dreaming of such unobtanium as the Ford Nugget or VW California being brought to our shoes required. Available right here in the US, right now.

That van looks like aTransit Custom which is front wheel drive and slotted between the long wheel base Connect and full size Transit.

I am really liking this. As mentioned...... it could potentially make a great track/tow vehicle.

Looks like  a Transit Custom can tow up to 2800kgs or approx 6000lbs. properly equipped.
