Mustangs are made because there's a consistent market for pony cars. Ever since they came out in '64.5, there has been enough demand to justify an entire plant just for them. If not, it would have gone away a long time ago.

All kidding aside, I always hate to see any manufacturer pull out of any racing series.
Especially one that has such a long and storied history in that series. It is sad.
