Never knew Jos was such an ass-hat......that explains things
Here we go!
Spa such a wonderful track. I hope we get some good racing. Weather I doubt will be an issue. But Spa!
I am curious to see how McLaren and Ferrari go. If they can get close to RBR and MB.

You know, due to the unique geography of the Ardennes, it can be raining on one part of the track while it's completely dry on another part.

Time to start watching practice again!
Late in P2, they mentioned that it could be the last dry session of the weekend.
Bad crash in the W series event through Radaillon today, there was one there in the 24 hour race earlier in the year as well. Fortunately that barrier is being moved back before next years GP but not nice to see. Hopefully everyone is ok, not what anyone wants to see.
Because I know one of the W series drivers, here's who was involved. Hope they're all OK.
Fabienne Wohlwend, Beitske Visser, Sarah Moore, Abbie Eaton, Ayla Agren and Belen Garcia.
Woah, that was quite a hit. I don't know who wound up upside-down after getting hit twice and thrown over the tires, but that looked pretty rough. They're saying all the drivers are okay, but still.
For a regular-speed version of that without the awful slow-mo sound glitch, I found this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W0oukLlzTdk
Doing some more reading and the session restarted and all drivers are reported to be okay with a few being checked out at the medical centre.
I think a lot of us are for tracks with consequence to going off but when they result in this sort of thing it needs to be changed. Well, off to Mosport for the weekend where the barriers are close and the run-offs off camber into walls lol (things have improved there with paved runoffs but it's still an old school high speed track).

I was hoping another view might make it look not quite as bad, that's definitely not the case here though.
Hamilton was quoted as saying that there was some kind of patch in that area which left a bump on the track that was bad enough to be painful. It wasn't clear to me exactly where that was at, but I wonder if that could have contributed to it. Hitting that and destablizing the car or trying to use a different line to avoid it or something like that.

It's about time they got some nascar tech into F1.
I must admit, the F1 guys seem faster.
I sprung for F1 TV and it's actually really great. I was watching onboard cameras and can see the patch at Eau Rouge that was causing the problem. The drivers hands suddenly twitch when they go over it and you can hear it in the audio.
Sergio has signed for next year. Probably useful to have a guy with 200 races to help develop the new car. Plus, he is pretty comfortable with the wingman role.
Now he just has to get fast enough to be a good wingman.
Eau Rouge claims another one. Glad to see Norris get out of the car, but damn he was on such a great qually run....
Sorry, Lando to jinx you- I said that he earned pole by being first out in bad and getting worse conditions.
rough hit.
Setup choices and weather are going g to decide everything tomorrow. I am split. It would be great for a full wet race and watch Russel get a surprise podium and full dry to watch Hamilton walk away with what appears to a more dry setup than most.
Lando was seriously on for pole. Glad that he is cleared to race and hope he does well.
