Never bet against Hamilton's ability to make tires last.

Red Bull has done everything right and they've had all the lucky breaks. But Lewis has all the pace. Will it be enough?
If there's just one lap left to race, it's over- for sure Max will throw it down in one of the corners.
That seemed a bit cheesy to change the procedure.
Gotta say, Max probably deserved the championship, but it's a shame when it comes to erratic race procedure decisions.

A lot cheesy. To let the back markers pass and end the SC on the same lap... has that ever happened? Is this NASCAR?

They would have lost position, I think. And with a normal safety car, that would have been the end of the race.
Red Bull had no answer for Lewis's speed. They just got some very, very lucky breaks.
I surely don't know the rule set, but it seems like it would have been better to red flag, clear it, then give them a standing start and five laps or whatever.

The yellow was out long enough that they should have known it was a SC, so they should have pitted- they had more than enough time to do it.
