"Dad, I wrecked the car... again!"
"Oh, Lance, not again!"

You have to admit how funny it was to see a grass fire on a wet weekend.
Somehow unexpected track coatings, chemicals sprayed on the grass and the thick smog on the aerial shots.... I kept thinking it did no favors showcasing the venue. I know they've delayed the race their for smog before and this time may have been just clouds but it looked pretty gross.
I enjoyed that race, trick being, Ignore Max.
Gotta give the guy props, though Domination like never before, I'd say. At leat Shumacher would blow an engine 3 or 4 times a season, and Merc split their domination between two drivers. I wish I didn't hate the look of his wispy mustachioed rat face and attitude.
Lando did a nice job. Checo didn't, really.
Lewis got to about where he should have, so good job there, although I thought he might get Piastri.
I figured Alonzo was going to be lucky to see a point when his tires went off, but he ended up putting on a hell of a show.
I feel a bit bad for Lance. That was a pretty bad deal from about 5 cars ahead... His race with K Mags for dead last was great.
Edit: Did I hear Max say, in the cool down room, watching the stack up crash with Lance, "My fault."? I watched it twice...

Just watched The Race post race coverage, and they talked a lot about that- and I very much don't feel bad for Lance. He had plenty of time to react to Ricciardo slowing, but didn't. If he were even paying attention, he would have driven off the road, but the speed he hit the RB, he was just not paying attention.
Daniel is going to be incensed that he's going to lose his drive, and Stroll continues to occupy a seat for no real good reason other than who his dad is.
So what happened to Brundle as a commentator?
I just don't like Nico..........I get a smarmy vibe from him.......not saying he actually is but it's where I'm at.

I switched to the other feed when I realized Nico was gonna be a commentator for the weekend. Can NOT stand him for a reason that I can't quite figure out.
Where is the Best YouTube review - highlights show for each of the F1 races this season , just something that is 15-20 minutes or so per race
thanks
I don't watch anything when the race is over. Same old questions, same old answers. I usually watch race without sound and frequently fast forward through the boring stuff. The older I get the less I enjoy watching racing of any kind. Just makes me want to go out for a drive.

F1 puts out youtube highlights for every session where cars are on track. Usually 10 mins or less though.
Spicy Piastri!
The McLaren driver was also a victim of the Ricciardo-Stroll collision. Regarding Stroll's claim that everyone in front of him suddenly braked, he says meaningfully: "Yes, but everyone else didn't crash into each other."
Also berkeley Stroll. After 8 years of being handed a seat, he still can't take personal responsibility.
Rosberg is kinda the worst, but listening to him be absolutely, needlessly contrarian to everything Crofty said was pretty hilarious.
I just can't wait until F1 becomes a sport again. I stopped watching pro wrestling as a kid fotlr the same reason I stopped watching this moronic show in 2022.
So Ricciardo brakes, and gets run into and it's Lance's fault. Last race Alonso brakes, and George flies off the road and it's Alonso's fault? 🤔

If you honestly believe anything since the 2020 season is valid, I have a bridge for sale.

If Formula 1 let me write the rules, I could fix its problems

Since F1 became owned by an American company its clear they are moving to temp street circuit, which I mostly loath for any series.
They'll start adding "excitement" with madatory cautions etc next I'm sure.
Love K-Mag racing everyone (who he feels he needs to race) super hard. Don't really think he needed a penalty for the contact with Yuki. Stewards just want to penalize him at every opportunity.
Max going a second faster in each qually session was nuts.
Glad Zhou had a reasonable finish. Not sure what Merc did to Hamilton's car between the sprint and race, but they obviously went the wrong way.

Um... 1 of these times was under yellow at fairly slow speed.
The other one was at a high speed corner and done for no reason other than to throw off the driver behind.

Had Ricciardo actually brake checked Stroll, it would have been his fault. Like Alonso. But Daniel was stopping in a long line of cars stopping for the start. And in spite of the fact that sTroll had way more space than any other driver in front and behind him to stop, he somehow didn't.

I don't think I've watched a race since the Hamilton/Max debacle where they intentionally ignored the rule book. I still pay attention because I find the technology/development really interesting.
What do you guys think of Crofty's idea about awarding points all the way down the order, including a point for finishing the race?
You'll need to log in to post.
